Stay Compliant, Stay Protected

Our WSH Officers ensure legal compliance by advising clients on workplace safety, health regulations, and industry standards. They review risk management programs, develop Safety and Health Management Systems, organize WSH Committees, conduct training, inspections, and investigate incidents.

Meanwhile, our WSH Coordinators oversee site safety, conduct training, and ensure the effectiveness of safety provisions.

Both roles are legally mandated under Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health Act (2006) for specific types of workplaces. Through these functions, we foster a proactive safety culture for our clients.

What is a WSHO / WSHC

Under Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health Act 2006, specific workplaces defined by the law must appoint a certified WSH Officer or Coordinator.

A Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) is a certified professional appointed to manage safety and health matters in higher-risk workplaces. On the other hand, a WSH Coordinator (WSHC) supports day-to-day site safety, ensuring that safety measures are effectively implemented on the ground.

  • Who needs a WSHO?
Certain higher-risk workplaces (e.g., construction sites, shipyards, large factories). WSH courses are available for those who want to qualify as a WSHO.
  • Key legal duties
Oversee risk management, conduct training & inspections, investigate incidents, and enforce WSH compliance.

The Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act is Singapore’s key framework for building a strong safety culture, requiring stakeholders to take practical measures to protect people at work. It is guided by three principles: reducing risks at the source, promoting industry ownership of safety, and enforcing stronger penalties for poor safety management.
